For the last few thousand years, weapons had scared the world history with hundreds not to say thousands of wars and slaughter of human being. People are to kill or be killed. Weapons are a common element of the modern world. The first weapon dates from the stone age which about 2,000,000 BC. At this time in history, weapons were used to obtain vitals and games. Humans have no slaughtering in between their own race. During the ensuing period humans began shaping stones and bones as weapons to hunt, but only to hunt.

By the time we got to the 13th century, knives became a daily necessity due for protections against forest thieves and road robbers. In the 19th century, weapons were used as a tool to win a war. However, the 20th century weapons are now killing machines that are designed to kill, and accompanied to defense. As you can see, evolution brought us in the primary stage of weapons in the modern world. During the American Revolution, large amount of weapons and artillery were used. After the war, the Bill of Right and the 10 Fundamental Amendments were set up for the further expansion of the law.

However, one of the Amendments obstructed the balance of citizens’ peace by providing freedom to arm themselves. In the Constitution of the United States, the Second Amendment stated that every citizens had the right to bear arms. The law stated as in the very first and unrefined amendments of the US Constitution. In the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, “Every able-bodied freeman, between the ages of 16 and 50, was enrolled in the militia… the law requires every militia man to provide himself with the arms usual in the regular service,” continues ” bearing arms to defend the community was considered a duty of property owing men. (The right to gear arms: Crimes. org) The law was provided at first to the militia revolutionists when fighting against English government during the war. It was later for the aftershock of revolting which possess the American to have this origin law to grave into the Bill of Right, if not for the citizens to protect themselves when England invade. Clearly the law was written for the sake of protecting the citizens and militia services, but holds the opposite for today’s society. In each state’s provisions, the law is stated to be given not to individual reasons but for the protection of self and the state.

As written in the provision of Alabama, “That the great, general and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare….. that every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state. ” However, due to the advancements and evolution, situation shifted have from the protection of self to chaos. In the twentieth century of today, crime rates are sky high compared to criminal records of the past. The 2001 statistics estimated the number of 79 percent homicide rate, with 66. 1 percent of 1985.

There has been an 14 percent increment during the past 16 years. What happened during this 16 year period? Not only did the percentage of crime increased, the number of artillery and guns also increased. This new inventory of weapon aided criminals to have a higher rate of success on whatever their goal to was, to rob or kill. These new weapons promised definite accuracy, and the damages made by these guns or rifles are surely menacing. How can the government assure that the damage will not be upon us? Because of the 2nd amendment, citizens have the right to bear arms with in the household and their properties.

Neighbors have great chance of being shot or their life being threatened. This week in Taiwan, Taipei, an old man was eating at a street-side restaurant in a small community. Another man came with a bowl of noodles but no where to sit. The old man offered the space across the table. They started eating and gossiping about the political parties with in the government, the old man opposed the young man’s political party. Arguments began, the young man is frustrated by the old man’s oppositions and they started fighting. The young man slipped out his gun during the quell and shot 6 bullets into the old man’s chest.

Certainly, the elder died, and the young man was arrested for felony. Few days later the young man was only charged with second degree because he was supposedly defending himself. The victim’s relatives raved, and question the judge in anger for his conclusion. Because of the second amendments for the right to bear arms, the suspect had armed himself and was not being accused of 1st degree murder. If the law opposed the right to bear arms, the suspect probably wouldn’t have had a chance of avoiding a first degree charge.

Weapons should be and only be used by authorized personnel, such as military, police, and armed forces. The dangers of weapon to be outside the protected perimeter are immeasurable. Take the snipers at Washington for example, is one of the outlaws got their guns from illegal resources where license or information is not necessary to purchase a weapon. “The . 223 caliber rifle causes considerable trauma to the body when it enters, but when it exits it carries with it an explosion of blood, bone and tissue,”(snipers outlawed; Capitol Hill Blues newspaper) reported by one editor in Capitol Hill Blues.

The gun probably was passed to them by several hands. The gun could be bought right off the net or directly in a store, for hunting purpose or target practicing. The gun will be sold to that individual if no previous criminal records are present. That is how easy weapons are sold in businesses. Relating to the incident, what if some other people are trying to imitate the god-like sniper here within Los Angles? We, would be the one that is on alert. Crimes will continue if the amendment remains. More and more illegal weapons are out on the market.

These guns could be bought secretly, but stored legally. The gang members would be in great wealth if these guns could be sold to other people that have the needs, even if the buyers have previous records of crime. In a sports mart, people with previous records of crimes are impossible to purchase guns. The black market which is made up of underground gang members. They wouldn’t care if the buyers have or will do any crimes, as long as they get the money desired. The gun might be in Big 5 and few days later into the hand of a killer who is released for parole but seeks revenge.

The same transfer would be used. Point is, if the police went to the seller’s house and found any weapons, the seller will not be arrested if he or she is over 21. Due to the 2nd Amendment, the police can’t even touch him nor confiscate the weapon because he has the right to bear arms. Impediments as the Second Amendment would hold true for crime rate increments. The 2nd Amendment should be deleted from the rest of the amendments. It not only provided criminals to have a chance to slip by, but it also encouraged people to do such crime.

Modifying the law, Al Gore insisted in the second presidential debate that all handguns must be “licensed” by the government. Now the government passed the Brady law which suspends gun trading or selling to an individual who has a criminal record. That is not enough, as stated at the top, legal citizen could purchase gun and re-sell it to others which can’t legally buy guns. Anyhow, the people within the area of these weapons will be in danger if the gunner is on roam. We excellent citizens cannot not be imperiled and persist in this menacing society. Crimes will strive if Second Amendment is enabled.
